Mac Miller ft. Prodigy - Confessions of a Cash Register

Posted 3 years ago
Alchemist and Larry Fisherman

Around lunchtime yesterday, Mac Miller took to Twitter and asked his followers, “you f**kers wanna hear somethin?” Thousands of retweets and favorites later, it was clear that, yes, they sure as f**k did, so he obliged them by unleashing Confessions of a Cash Register. Though not attached to any larger project, this loosie boasts contributions from some illustrious underground names: Mobb Deep‘s Prodigy delivers a grimey guest verse on the front, and West Coast heavyweight The Alchemist joins Larry Fisherman (Miller’s beatsmith alter ego) to craft an atmospheric, instrumental backdrop for the collaborators’ rhymes. Has this one-off release whet your appetite for more fresh cuts from the Steel City indie phenom? Then keep it locked: neither sophomore album Watching Movies With the Sound Off nor Pharrell collab Pink Slime have received a solid drop date, but we’ll keep you supplied with the latest on both forthcoming projects.
