Mac Miller - Goosebumpz

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Diplo
Album:

Upon reading the title of Mac Miller‘s latest feature, the first thought that entered my mind was of R.L. Stine’s bestselling book series. I’m a late-‘80s baby; what can I say? As it turns out, I was way off the mark. The type of Goosebumpz the indie-rap phenom is concerned with on this freshly-minted song release are not the variety raised by PG-rated horror novels, but the kind that women get as the result of his skills in the bedroom. Over Diplo‘s production, an off-the-wall-collage of muted horns, theremin and birdsong backed by a syncopated production rhythm, the Keystone State spitter depicts himself as the Tupac Shakur of sexual intercourse, boasting, “When I die b*tch she[‘ll] f**k my hologram.” For this freaky selection, lead single S.D.S. and much more, check out Watching Movies With the Sound Off, when it hits record stores and online retailers June 18, via Rostrum Records.
