Mac Miller - Someone Like You

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
J. Hill
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Mac Miller is a talented artist and (going by the man’s own lyrics) a true ladies’ man, but I never thought of the Pittsburgh emcee as the kind of artist whose very voice makes panties drop. As it turned out, though, he just needed a little help from J. Hill, who lowers Miller’s rhymes to Barry White pitch on Someone Like You, a chopped-n-screwed cut recently released via the artist’s Twitter. Here, the Windy City beatsmith’s atmospheric samples meld with the indie-rap phenom’s risqué braggadocio to create a sultry slow-jam that wouldn’t sound remotely out of place in the bedroom. This cut isn’t currently attached to any forthcoming project, but fans can stay tuned for all the latest on Pink Slime, the artist’s forthcoming EP project with Pharrell Williams.
