Mac Miller - Watching Movies

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Sap and Larry Fisherman
Album:

Based on the title of Mac Miller‘s forthcoming sophomore full-length, I assumed Watching Movies With the Sound Off was one of the Pittsburgh emcee’s own hobbies. Turns out, I had it completely twisted; on freshly-minted song release and partial title track Watching Movies, the artist imagines everyone else kicking back and watching him on the big screen. With that said, I wouldn’t recommend hitting “mute” during Miller’s biopic—you’d miss a whole lot of dope rhymes. Here, the indie phenom is in characteristically fine form, lacing his (under the alias Larry Fisherman) and Sap‘s blunted sample work with characteristically boastful, pop-referential lyrical flames. Featuring this jam, lead single S.D.S. and much more, Mac’s second studio album is set to to hit record stores and online retailers June 18. In the meantime, of course, you can watch our pages for more fresh cuts off the set.
