MacKenzie - Sweet Communion

Album:

If I were to write a love song for my girlfriend, I may or may not just create a carbon copy of today’s DJBooth premiered single from MacKenzie. Following the retro, dance jam Can We Die, the singer is back with his second feature of this month on Sweet Communion. The song includes a genuine entreaty to believe in the unseen force of love, a powerful electric guitar solo when you thought it was all over, and a voice that’s lighter than a stone skipping across a pond. Producers Lamont Nueble and Tim Stewart trade in the Moog from Can We Die for war drums and a cello to create moments that explode like fireworks in the night sky (which is just what my girlfriend would want to see while I sing that love song). Sweet Communion will also be on MacKenzie’s upcoming EP, Introverted Rebellion, due out May 12, right here at The DJBooth as a free download.
