Madchild - Nature of the Beast

Producer:
Chin Injeti
Album:

Whereas most of modern civilization strives to transcend the laws of natural selection, underground hip-hop is one arena in which might still makes right. As such, Swollen Members rhymesayer Madchild is determined to stay at the top of the food chain. Nature of the Beast, the latest single off the Vancouver native’s forthcoming solo set, is a surprisingly cheery look at the dog-eat-dog world of rap. Over Chin Injeti‘s head-nodding rhythm section, laced with apocalyptic vocal snippets (“Chaos in the streets… strong from the weak.”), the artist touts the skills that give him the edge over his competition. Director John Thomas accompanies the cut with some of the most ridiculous (and hilarious) visuals I’ve encountered in a hot minute, starring Madchild and a gang of animal-suited homies. Lawn Mower Man is scheduled for release August 6, via Suburban Noize/Battle Axe Records. Click here to pre-order the forthcoming full-length.
