Jonathan "J.R." Rotem
Album:
TBA (Q3 Release)

For Sean Kingston’s chart topping debut single, Beautiful Girls, producer Jonathan “JR” Rotem sampled the classic Ben E. King song, Stand By Me.  As a result, Kingston’s debut album has reached gold-certification and the Miami-born reggae singer has become an in demand feature artist.  Looking to achieve similar success with Mann, the newest artist to sign with his Beluga Heights label, Rotem has reached into his sample vault and scooped up a ‘83 classic.  Using the melody from Billie Joel’s popular single, Uptown Girl, Mann and Kingston create a modern day version entitled, Ghetto Girl.  Though it won’t help either artist with their street cred, expect to hear this one plastered on the radio all spring.
