Marco Polo ft. MC Eiht, King Tee & DJ Revolution - West Coast Love
Recent features off Marco Polo‘s forthcoming full-length have seen him collaborating heavily with with hip-hop luminaries from his current city of residence, NYC, but the LP will also feature plenty of talent from the other side of the map. On the final single off the set, the T-Dot native links up with two seasoned Compton rhymesayers to showcase his West Coast Love. MC Eiht, the veteran emcee who joined Polo on July’s Smoke Sumthin’, is first to flow over the headliner’s G Funk-infused beat; in his verses, he scoffs at skinny-jeaned young’ns and makes a passionate case for the continuing relevance of the gangsta aesthetic. King Tee goes even further in his closing verse, prophesying that, “The West’ll rise like a Crimson Tide from the ocean.” DJ Revolution, another L.A. repper, mans the wheels of steel. Like what you’re hearing? For more hot beats, and bars from Marco’s impressive, trans-regional cast of connects, cop PA 2: The Director’s Cut when it drops next Tuesday, November 12, via Soulspazm.
