Marion Write ft. Yaygos - Take The Throne

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
The Avengers
Album:
To Love & Conquer

There’s been a lot of talk in hip-hop lately about royalty and thrones, but there are many crowns. While Jay-Z and Kanye may have mainstream hip-hop’s throne locked up (for now), Illustrated Example creator Marion Write knows that the fight to simply Take The Throne of your own life is even more important. For Throne Write recruits producers The Avengers to craft an appropriately inspiring beat topped off by a soaring hook from singer Yagos. But it’s the headliner’s rhymes that truly make this joint worthy of being called rap royalty: “My life, over yours / but you can walk in my shoes when I press record.” Now that Marion’s taken the throne, look for him to rule over his kingdom on his forthcoming To Love & Conquer album, due out October 5.
