MellowHype - FIFAFOFUM!

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Hodgy Beats
Album:
INSA

Mellowhype hasn’t scored a headlining feature on our front page since January 2013’s Astro, but the Odd Future-affiliated duo’s been doing it plenty big in the meantime. FIFAFOFUM!, single numero dos off their latest collaborative album features Left Brain and Hodgy Beats stomping around like the hungry giant from the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Hodgy handles production as well as mic duties on this joint, delivering grimy, braggadocious bars over his own dissonant string loops and throbbing percussion. Left Brain sticks to bellowing the cut’s titular hook. Complete with some fast-paced, low-budget visuals by Sean Solomon, this is just one of many quality cuts to be found on the duo’s INSA LP, available now via OF’s official site.
