Meth, Ghost & Rae - Dangerous

Posted 6 years ago

If rap was actually a contact sport (and when Suge Knight was around it was), there wouldn’t be many rappers willing to get into the ring with high-caliber Wu-Tang alumni Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. As opposed to the trio’s first, um, vagina-focused single Miranda, their second single Dangerous is exactly what the title suggests. While producer and longtime Wu affiliate Mathematics crafts a live instrument beat built around a horn section and dynamic drums, The Chef kicks off the lyrical devastation with a typically dope flow (pun intended), followed closely by Ghost, who somehow manages to make a Jonas Brothers reference sound hard, and Meth closes things out with another classically blunted offering. The Wu-Tang Clan was nothing to f**k with, and it looks like one-third of the Wu-Tang Clan ain’t exactly cuddly themselves. Still, does Dangerous meet the Booth’s assuredly high expectations? We’ll find out soon. Every day brings us a day closer to Meth, Ghost and Rae’s Wu-Massacre album, set to drop March 30. Plan accordingly.
