Metis - Bruce Lee

The Path

For most viewers, martial art flicks are a form of adrenaline-pumping escapism. When Metis sits down to watch Enter the Dragon, however, he feels like he’s looking in the mirror. On his latest promotional song release, a Booth-exclusive world premiere, the San Francisco native reveals that he feels an uncanny kinship with legendary martial artist and action star Bruce Lee. Far-fetched as the comparison might seem at first blush, the affinity quickly becomes clear as he spits over Jason Farsight‘s unique, sampled boardwork; showcasing power, grace and dexterity on the mic, Metis succeeds in evoking the physical prowess of this cut’s namesake. If you got a kick out of Bruce Lee (pun intended), keep it locked for more fresh cuts leading up to the late-summer arrival of the artist’s upcoming album, The Path.
