Promotional Single for Honda

When DJ Z sat down for an exclusive interview with Mickey Factz last month, the tech-savvy rapper mentioned that, as part of the multimedia assault he had planned for ‘09, he was working on a commercial for Honda. On newly-released promo record Sensibility, it’s clear that the up-and-coming emcee’s got what it takes to move freshly-minted automobiles, even during our current recession.  Though he begins by acknowledging that, “Right now the times is hard,” his hook finds him breezily dismissing potential criticism from the “Buy American” crowd, stating, “What I make, what I drive, what I wear, what I buy… it’s my life.”  Factz’ confident rhymes, backed by producer Precize‘s glittering keyboard arpeggios and clockwork percussion, have an almost hypnotic effect—in fact, I’m starting to think that that glaringly empty parking spot behind my apartment building would look a lot nicer with the addition of a newly-leased S2000 convertible…
