Micky Munday ft. G Curtis - Il Vero Amore

Phonix & Drupiano
Album:
Back To Work

UPDATE: “II Vero Amore” is no longer available for stream.

Introduced to The DJBooth via December 2012’s reader-approved Glass House, Micky Munday makes his long-awaited return to our pages with follow-up mixtape single Il Vero Amore. As the title (Italian for “true love”) suggests, this joint is dedicated to a special woman in the Los Angeles rhymesayer’s life. Backed by the tuneful, keyboard-led production of Phonix and Drupiano, Munday lets his girl know just how deep his affection for her runs: “If you cut me, I’ll bleed us / Every drop of blood will spell ‘trust.’” As he pours out his heart, he showcases the same agile flow that impressed listeners on his first feature, while adopting a gentler, more melodic delivery to match the lyrical theme. Singer G Curtis handles the hook. Have you fallen head-over-heels for this lovestruck jam? Those who answer in the affirmative should scoop up Micky’s Back to Work tape, presented by DJ Don Cannon and The Press.
