Mike Dreams - Born In 1988

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Randy Cvstles
Album:
Millennial

It’s a little weird being 24 years old, since I still feel like I am 17 at heart, but kinda sorta have to be an adult. Its also weird when I ask a child if they’ve ever played with Pogs or on Sega Genesis and in return I only get blank stares. I am sure Mike Dreams knows how I feel because like me, and all our fellow 23-24 year olds, Mike too was Born In 1988. The visuals for his latest single, crafted by WhoBetterTV!, take us on a tour of Mike’s hometown as the Minneapolis emcee, backed by a swaying Randy Cvstles beat,  reminisces on all those who had an effect on his upbringing and the struggle of his father to give him a better life and keep him off the streets. Now that he is older and wiser, Dreams also reflects on the youngins and how, while the year maybe different, somethings never change. For more hazy, reminiscent tunes check out Dreams’ third independent album Millenial, hosted for free download at the DJBooth.
