Mr. Green ft. Matisyahu, Benefit & Kyon Williams - Human in Disguise

Posted about 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Mr. Green
Album:
Live from the Streets

It would be nice if the real world were like John Carpenter’s They Live, and all it took was a pair or two of magic sunglasses to reveal the ruling class for the skull-faced alien overlords they are. The truth, of course, is considerably more terrifying: beneath their respectable exteriors, those in power are simply men and women whose morals have been twisted by the system. On Human in Disguise, part of buzzmaking beatsmith (and first-time featuree) Mr. Green‘s forthcoming compilation album, the headliner’s tuneful keyboard grooves back emcees Benefit and Kyon Williams as they spit about the baleful effects of institutional corruption on average Americans’ lives. Matisyahu, absent from the Booth since dropping One Day back in 2010, lends his vocals to the hook. Fans will be able to find Human and much more on Green’s Vice/Noisey-presented Live From the Streets LP, due out in early 2014.
