Murph Watkins x The Boy Illinois ft. Velvet Gunn - Avenue

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
I.B. C.L.A.S.S.I.C

Seeking something mellow and relaxing to rotate while you’re “ridin’ down the Avenue?” Look no further. The breezy feel of Chi-town buzzmaker Murphy Watkins‘s latest promo single may be incongruous with the winter landscape outside your whip, but that’s all the more reason to bump it while you’re waiting for the climate control to kick in. I.B. C.L.A.S.S.I.C mans the boards, slicing and dicing a bossa nova-esque guitar-flute sample as the headliner trades self-assured verses with Booth fave The Boy Illinois (whom fans can currently catch on tour with Lupe Fiasco). Windy City chanteuse Velvet Gunn provides soulful backing vocals throughout the cut. Feeling it? Then stay tuned; Avenue isn’t attached to a larger set, but we’ll keep you posted on Watkins’s plans as further details emerge.
