MURS - Animal Style

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Embassy
Album:
Love and Rockets, Vol. 1: The Transformation

Despite what SoCal residents might first think, no, MURS’ new Animal Style video isn’t about In ‘N Out’s immortal burger. Instead, the cinematic new flick has some much deeper intentions: in the legendary L.A. emcee’s words, he wanted to create a video that “challenge[d] the listener” and spoke “up on the issues of teen suicide, bullying, and the overall anti-homosexual sentiment that exists within hip hop culture.” While everyone will have their own thoughts on the visuals accompanying the Embassy-produced track, there’s no denying MURS has achieved his mission. For more hip-hop that’s not afraid to challenge the status quo, cop MURS Love and Rockets, Vol. 1: The Transformation album, out now.
