MURS - Epic Salutations

Love & Rockets Vol. 1: The Transformation

Some collaborations catch us off guard at first, but the minute we hear that the meeting of minds has yielded dope results, everybody wins. Such was the case with L.A. emcee MURS and his project Love & Rockets Vol. 1: The Transformation with producer Ski Beatz. Today, we have a brand new video for Epic Salutations, the opening track of Love & Rockets. Here MURS weaves punctuated rhymes laden with cosmic imagery over Ski’s spacy-sounding production. Not many emcees can get away with uttering phrases like “quasar in a bottle,” and for that MURS deserves all the props and the accompanying Hobostewd-directed visuals keep in line with MURS’ celestial-oriented wordplay. Between this video and MURS’ work as the founder of the Paid Dues Festival, museum curator, graphic novel creator and more there’s a lot going in the Cali emcee’s career - just try to keep up, because MURS is on the move!
