Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)

Posted about 4 years ago
Producer:
Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins
Album:
The Spirit Indestructible

Whoa Nelly! Where’ve you been? Seems like more than just a marriage and new baby has been on the “to-do” list for Nelly Furtado; she’s also getting back to her musical ways. The Canadian pop-star comes with a brand new single Big Hoops” (Bigger The Better) from her forthcoming album The Spirit Indestructible. Kicking off with straight drums and plenty of effects, Nelly busts through the track with a new twang, adding a twisting mechanic to her voice for a sound that blends electro-pop, Indian music and New World edge. If you’re feeling the eclectic beat then be sure to applaud industry veteran Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, whose work on the boards is a promising first note for the new album, which is expected to feature production muscle from heavyhitters like The Neptunes, Tiësto, Timbaland and more. Big Hoops is available on iTunes now, and keep your eye open for Nelly’s The Spirit Indestructible, whose special delivery is set for this June.
