Newtimers - Heavy Weather

EGO EP

Since the beginning of December, a Baltic storm has been buffeting Sweden with snow and frigid, 35-40 mph winds. Though air travel was disrupted, the Heavy Weather hasn’t stopped Stockholm electro/R&B collective Newtimers from touching down on our pages with their first Booth feature, a new single off their official debut project. Brought to our attention by Hypetrak, this atmospheric jam finds Tim Lundblad and Andreas Cavaco telling the story of a romance that began in a flash and fell apart just as quickly, backed by a warm wash of synths and crisp, reverb-drenched percussion. Like what you’re hearing? More awaits on the Newtimers’ EGO EP, due out digitally on Wednesday, January 9.
