Here, producer Rich Skillz’ atmospheric blend of piano and reverb-drenched handclaps sets the stage for Nikki Leonti‘s heartbroken pleas to a lost love who has left her to “waste away” under the light of the glittering skyline. Big Apple mainstay Fabolous responds to her melodramatic but vocally powerful performance with a few encouraging words, delivering a middle verse laced with motivational quotables: “I’m just happy to be real in a world that’s mad fake / that can’t stop me, my life’s got bad brakes.” Like what you’re hearing?
