On the Crown ft. DJ Inform - The Crown

Producer:
Severe Beats
Album:
On the Crown

Dominique Larue, the Ohio representive last featured with April 2013’s #SOON, and Savant (aka Stanstro), the Chicago up-and-comer who made his Booth debut with last January’s The Illest, have joined forces to form underground hip-hop duo On the Crown. Their group’s pseudo-self titled debut feature, The Crown (making its world premiere in the Booth!), should give you an idea of just how formidable a pair they are on the mic. Here, the emcees showcase their skills both singly and in tandem, trading lines at one moment and launching into tongue-twisting solo bars at the next. Severe Beats mans the boards, crafting a simple, string-sampled groove that leaves the spotlight squarely on Savant and Larue’s impressive flows. DJ Inform assists behind the wheels of steel. The Crown is scheduled to hit iTunes Monday, February 3, and will also be featured on a forthcoming, self-titled album from On the Crown.
