OnCue ft. Nickelus F & Theo Martins - Let Loose

Posted about 6 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
CJ Luzi
Album:
Cuey Sings the Blues

OnCue‘s last non-freestyle feature found the Brooklyn-based up-and-comer suffering from a little stress as he struggled to figure out who his real Friends were. Well, turns out he simply needed to Let Loose and blow off a little steam – on the latest leak off his forthcoming mixtape, the artist sounds as confident, driven and determined as ever. In keeping with the project’s genre-blending theme, CJ Luzi looks outside the hip-hop arena for inspiration, chopping Feist’s ‘07 hit 1234 into a breezy, catchy backdrop for Cue’s energetic bars. Two true-blue cohorts (and fellow freestyle series contributors) handle guest duties; Virginia’s Nickelus F. laces the middle verse with boisterous braggadocio, and Rhode Island Boat Shoe magnate Theo Martins delivers the coup de grace, name-dropping MLK, Malcolm X and Bryant Gumbel in his closing 16. Craving more boundary-busting tunes from this Northeastern buzzmaker? You’ll find what you seek on his Mick Boogie/Terry Urban/2Dopeboyz-cosponsored Cuey Sings the Blues mixtape, set to hit the net September 7.
