OnCue ft. Sonny Shotz & Kyle Lucas - Picky Nikki

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Hannibal King
Album:
LeftOvers

Since OnCue‘s debut in back in June, we’ve heard the Ct. native vent about the fickleness of Friends and the merciless nature of the game, but somehow the topic of girl troubles never came up. As it turns out, the freestyle alum hasn’t been holding out on us; he’s just been waiting for the right time to tell us about his romantic woes, which revolve around a chick he not-so-fondly refers to as Picky Nikki. Over Hannibal King‘s piano-led beat, sampled from Lykke Li’s Time Flies, Cuey recounts how the girl he loved nearly drove him nuts with mood swings and manipulation. Joining him are a couple good friends who have been there before; Dean’s List rapper Sonny Shotz and Vonnegutt member Kyle Lucas provide moral support, spitting about their own relationship-from-hell experiences. It all adds up to a well-executed jam that many will find all-too-relatable – hopefully, in the past tense. (If this reminds you of your current relationship, may I suggest running for your life?) Fans will be able to eat their fill of LeftOvers on November 29, when OnCue’s Booth-sponsored outtake collection hits our mixtape page for streaming and download.
