I’d start off this feature post by pointing out that every moment of our lives, from getting married to brushing our teeth, from the moment your first child is born to watching American Idol, is a Now Or Never situation, but thankfully Outasight’s new single is much more interesting than a discussion of chronological philosophy. Fresh off the runaway success of Tonight is the Night, the neo/vintage/whatever crooner and rapper grabs producer Andrew Goldstein for a bass booming, fist pumping and decidedly modern beat that distinctly lives in the Ibiza clubs of 2012. Vocally, Outasight alternates between conversationally rapped lines and strongly delivered vocals, all aimed at getting you off the couch and into your life: “When you start to think about taking a chance you can’t give a damn.” Now that’s good advice for aspiring artists and 9-to-5ers alike. While we’re still waiting on the official word on a new album from the Warner Bros.’ artist, I think it’s safe to say that a new project will find its way to our headphones somewhere between now and never.
