Papi Jamon - A Better Way

Producer:

Connect Game EP

After calling out Phony Rappers in August on his DJBooth-featured comeback cut, Chi-Town rhymesayer Papi Jamon has fully switched gears on his new single, A Better Way. Inspired by the recent violence in his hometown of Chicago, the emcee hopes for a more optimistic outcome on the songs hook as he spits, “Man, it’s gotta be a better way/ Better living today, is what we better do to better our state.” Later in the record Jamon references finding his own better way, which came in the form of music, but despite finding his way out he still goes on to express his concern for those still stuck in the grim cycle. Producer Lonegevity keeps with the pensive tone of the record on the production end as he pairs somber strings with a mix of percussion. A Better Way can found on the Chicago lyricist’s Connect Game EP, which will finally be released online on October 30.
