Paranom & Purpose - Interlude to Your Mood

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Purpose (of Tragic Allies)
Album:
Life Outside the Frame

Introduced to our pages via last month’s Dayz Go By, Paranom and Purpose return to The DJBooth with another freshly-minted single off their forthcoming full-length. True to its title, Interlude to Your Mood is a sharp change of tone from its predecessor. In contrast to the aforementioned jam’s mellow, jazzy vibe, this cut is live and in-your-face. Purpose layers multiple wailing soul-vocal samples over a thundering breakbeat as his Tragic Allies colleague rattles off bar after bar of witty, polysyllabically-rhymed lyrical flames. You’re unlikely to fully (or even 25%) unravel his verses in a single listen, but you’re sure to walk away from this record with the energy to face whatever your day may bring. For this throwback banger and much more, check out the duo’s Life Outside the Frame LP, scheduled to drop next Tuesday (12/10) via Ill Adrenaline Records.
