The Fast Life

Paul Wall has matured quite a bit since he dropped Get Money, Stay True, both as a recording artist and as a man.  As such, his junior album, Fast Life, will include fewer typical Houston chop-and-screw jams than you’d expect, instead showcasing a diverse array of Dirty South styles as the emcee tackles a wider range of lyrical topics than ever before.  Don’t get it confused, though—Paul is still as Fly as ever.  On this potential single, he more than lives up to his Z-bestowed “Sultan of the Simile” title, stating that he’s “higher than the price of gas,” that he has his “wrist froze up like computer screens,” and that the top of his slab is “steady droppin’ like record sales.”  Block Entertainment‘s twin towers, Yung Joc and Gorilla Zoe, bookend Wall’s stunting, and producer Amadeus strikes the perfect balance between A-Town and H-Town appeal.  Fast Life speeds onto store shelves May 12th; before that, watch for Paul Wall and DJ Z to chop it up like Ginsu knives in an exclusive interview.
