Charlotte Boy

After his underground single Poppin N Lockin (a video that received constant airplay on BET Uncut) got him a deal with Atlantic Records, Charlotte native Peedy Wheatstraw looked to then help put his city on the ‘map.’  On the remix to his underground hit, Dope Boy Lean, 305 boss Rick Ross makes an appearance and tries to help Peedy accomplish his goal.  Over a percussion-synthesizer laced beat by Killah Beats, Peedi and Ross spit their respective verses discussing the aim of all up-in-coming rappers: success.  Listen for more from Peedy when his debut effort, Charlotte Boy, is set to be released in early 2008.
