Phresh James - ThinkingHat

Producer:
Mr. Manuvers
Album:
TheGreaterGood Ep

Flashback to second grade, you’re struggling to solve those dreaded multiplication problems. Your Helen Keller-esque teacher notices your inner turmoil and gleefully says, “Put on your thinking cap!” While Miami-based emcee Phresh James’ ThinkingHat likely has absolutely nothing to do with multiplication or overly cheery second grade teachers, he does give listeners a lot to think about on his jazzy new offering. Despite ThinkingHat’s bold lyrical content James keeps it relatively simple with visuals for the Mr. Manuvers-produced effort. The music video switches from shots of the wordsmith dropping rhymes as he’s illuminated by a red light to footage of the rapper riding around his city. While the project that ThinkingHat will be featured on, TheGreaterGood EP, is currently stuck in release date limbo, James’ Booth-hosted Universal Lve Period is currently available for free stream and download.
