Planet Asia x Ras Kass - Kings

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Numonics
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Hockey and hip-hop aren’t topics typically mentioned in the same sentence, but Fresno vet Planet Asia and Watts native Ras Kass were just as excited as anyone to watch the Los Angeles Kings skate their way to victory in 2012. Today, the West Coast underground mainstays join forces for a joint promo single inspired by the NHL title-holders. Booth acclaimed beatsmith Numonics mans the boards, layering airy samples over a shambling, syncopated percussion rhythm as the collaborators showcase their finely-honed flows. Miami’s DJ Heron assists behind the wheels of steel. This joint isn’t attached to a forthcoming project, but Ras Kass’ latest LP, Barmageddon, is available for streaming and digital purchase in the Booth. For more from Numonics, you can check out his latest beat tape, The (Instru)mentalist, as well as Not for Nothing, his new collaborative set with Saheed.
