There’s no better way to establish a rapport with someone you’ve just met than to share something that’s exclusively between you and them—whether it’s a drink, a piece of gossip or, in Price Stylez‘s case, a brand new record. To start his relationship with Booth readers off on the right foot, the Boston emcee has chosen to introduce himself with the world premiere of a new single, aptly titled This Thing of Ours. A lyrically-driven street banger with a gritty throwback feel, this joint finds Price spitting with brutal honesty about life and death in his hood. In collaboration with beatsmith Confidence, the artist crafts a sampled instrumental to back him as he laments the death of the street code and mourns fallen homies. This record is song release numero uno off Confidence and Stylez’s forthcoming, DJBooth-hosted mixtape, Master Piece Theatre. Presented by HiPNOTT Records, the project is scheduled for release at the top of June.
