Proh Mic ft. Coultrain & Uncle Imani (The Pharcyde) - Hit the Floor

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Proh Mic
Album:
Rhythm for Days

Not very often are party songs rather innocent in content, or even cautionary of the trappings of the club life, while still feeling like a sincere party joint, but Proh Mic’s latest track Hit The Floor is one of those rare jawns. The Seattle based producer and musician has created a modern take on the vibe that a band like Funkadelic wove into the culture of music, even allowing several minutes at the end of the song for a showcase of invigorating instrumentation, almost like the old club extended mixes record labels handed out to DJ’s in the 70s and 80s. Floor, also featuring vocals by Coultrain and Uncle Imani of The Pharcyde fame, is part of his soon-to-be released album, Rhythm For Days, produced entirely by Proh save for one track, produced by Vitamin D.4, and due to drop October 25 via All Natural Inc.
