Prote-J - This Life

Posted 5 years ago
Producer:
Prote-J
Album:
Dope Raps & Kit Kats

On his last feature, Prote-J revealed the secret behind his seemingly superhuman grind: having endured crushing poverty during his early years in Papua New Guinea, he has the perspective to keep his mind on Bigger Things while the rest are fretting over the details. With that knowledge, it’s clear the Florida resident isn’t blowing smoke on his latest joint, when he spits: “I could never get tired of this life. This Life finds the emcee/producer, as usual, showcasing both of his talents; over his own hard-hitting percussion and buzzsaw synth-bass, the emcee lets the world know just how hard he’s planning on hustling. When he’s not assuring fans of his hella-fide work ethic, he drops a little science – or geometry, as the case may be – for the edification of any rival emcees who might be listening: “Your words don’t connect – call ‘em parallel lines.” Like what you’re hearing? Plenty more awaits on the freestyle series alumnusBooth-hosted Dope Raps & Kit Kats street album, set to hit our mixtape page for free streaming and download April 19.
