Hardway Musical

One of the most enjoyable ways to spend a few lazy summer days is to take a road trip somewhere you’ve never been. There’s just something about sticking your hand out the window of the car, letting the warm air blow through your hair as you’re rolling down the interstate to whatever exciting destination awaits you. If you’re anything like Prynce Cyhi, you’re probably very familiar with the idea of getting in the car and skipping town for a while. Sweet Georgia, a track off the Booth newcomer and recent Def Jam signee’s forthcoming Hardway Musical LP, finds Cyhi taking a trip down Memory Lane, recounting his past travels across his home state of Atlanta and beyond. Crown Kingz Productions’ minimal acoustic guitar instrumental adds to the nostalgic vibe of Cyhi’s flow as he reminisces about Decatur, Dublin, and everywhere in between. It’s almost as if he’s inviting you along for the ride—I call shotgun, though!
