DJBooth.net & Fake Shore Drive Present: Stormy

If you’re a fan of Windy City hip-hop, now would be a good time to throw your hands in the air. Reader-acclaimed up-and-comer Pugs Atomz is Back Again, and he’s brought another of Chi-town’s finest, internationally acclaimed beatsmith Rashid Hadee, along for the ride! The first official leak off the collaborators’ forthcoming, Fake Shore Drive/DJBooth.net-cosponsored Stormy mixtape finds Pugs detailing how and why he turned away from ”petty hustling” to pursue success in the music game, assuring fans that there will be “only risin’, no fallin’ this time.” In addition to accompanying Atomz on the rapped hook, Hadee backs the emcee’s intense yet measured bars with a head-nodding, piano-led instrumental featuring a Chipmunk-pitched sample from… anyone know? In any case, it’s clear that Hadee and Atomz’ are an emcee/producer duo to be reckoned with. Those who like what they’re hearing should stay tuned to the Booth for three more leaks leading up to Stormy‘s November release!
