Promo Single

Back in early June, Best of the Booth nominee Pure slid us the exclusive premiere of current single Sample, a promo cut on which the rising R&B star paid tribute to a female who left every guy in the spot longing for another taste.  Though summer ‘09’s nearly over (time flies, huh?), the singer’s still crushing just as hard as he was at the season’s start—thus, we’re proud to present the Booth-exclusive world premiere of the track’s official remix.  With the Newark native’s soulful vocals and the Venture Bros. synth-heavy beat left intact, this is more of a “new and improved” version than a full-scale reimagining, but, considering the rave reviews the original cut won from many of our regulars, that shouldn’t be a handicap.  This revamp’s main addition, a brand new opening verse by Red Cafe, feels like it belonged on the record from the get-go—the Brooklynite’s sing-song flow sounds right at home over the Bros.’ jittery percussion rhythm.  Is this catchy track just as addictive the second time around?  As always, Booth readers have the final say.
