R.O.M.E ft. Mistah F.A.B - Star Children
As his MySpace bio makes clear, Booth newcomer R.O.M.E. was brought up in the midst of poverty and hardship, and, knowing that countless are being born into similar (and often worse) situations every day, the Los Angeles up-and-comer has teamed up with a fellow Cali rapper to address Star Children struggling to rise above difficult circumstances in cities across the globe. Flowing over his own poignant, piano-driven production, R.O.M.E describes his early life and the massive strides he’s taken towards achieving his musical dreams. On his second verse, North Oakland’s Mistah F.A.B. broadens the scope, expressing solidarity with “oppressed immigrants and the stressed black man,” and encouraging all suffering to keep faith in spite of their hardships. Rhymes this heartfelt are hard to come by, but fans of R.O.M.E.‘s brand of real talk are sure to find plenty more on his DK Skee & BYI Entertainment: My Demo mixtape when it drops this June.
