Worried that your summer’s not gonna be rad enough? If that’s your most pressing concern, then you must lead one very charmed life—and, judging by your choice in slang, you might be a time traveler from 1983. Regardless, Radical Something have got it covered with their newly-launched #SUMMERofRAD series. Making its world premiere on our front page, inaugural entry Sky Is Born finds Loggy, Josh Cocktail and DJ Big Red urging listeners to get off their posteriors and experience the world outside. The group’s own production, a blissfully mellow, acoustic guitar-led arrangement exquisitely crafted for outdoor recreation, sets the stage for verses celebrating the dope sh*t that’s right beyond your doorstep. Just in case the sun, cool breeze and greenery don’t do it for you, the crew’s mic-rocking contingent stress the many “shades of life” that can only be discovered by hitting the pavement: “Look around / In every city, every town, so much history’s embedded in the ground.” Feeling it?
