Raekwon ft. Altrina Renee - 86’

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
DJ Thoro
Album:

Raekwon‘s been rhyming for 20-plus years and, if the Wu-Tang vet has his way, he ain’t never gonna stop. On his latest feature, however, he takes us back to a time when he still had yet to pick up the mic. 1986, the latest single off Rae’s forthcoming EP, finds DJ Thoro flipping a throwback sample as the Chef spins a tantalizing, intricately-flowed success fantasy, envisioning himself and a female companion being chauffeured in expensive whips, enjoying evenings out with Bruno Mars (Who was one year old in ‘86—maybe they were babysitting?) and jetting away on luxurious vacations. Ice H20 signee Altrina Renee plays the headliner’s girl Friday, contributing her breezy vocals to the record’s hook. Watch for Raekwon’s Lost Jewlry, to hit the ‘net in January, paving the way for a new, currently-untitled studio album later in 2013.
