Only Built for Cuban Linx II

Since 2007, Wu-Tang devotees have been anticipating the release of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, Raekwon the Chef‘s fourth solo LP and the official sequel to his 1995 debut.  Fortunately, the wait is almost over – the album is set to drop this March.  Last weekend on NYC’s premier hip-hop station, Hot 97, the emcee debuted Wu Ooh, an album cut that, true to its title, sees Rae joining forces with three of his fellow Clan vets.  RZA‘s vocal sample crackles with head-bobbing old-school soul, setting the stage for inspired verses from Raekwon, Ghostface, and Method Man.  The result is a collaborative cut that will have even the most jaded listeners throwing their ‘W’s up.  If the rest of the forthcoming album makes good on Wu Ooh‘s retro-flavored promise, then Cuban Linx II will prove a fitting follow-up to its now-legendary predecessor.
