Rapper Big Pooh - Don’t Change

With his next studio album just a week away from release, Rapper Big Pooh has returned to build anticipation for the set by liberating a brand new single. The follow-up to reader-approved lead effort Gold Chain, this cut finds the North Carolina repper letting loose with a few harsh truths over The Mighty DR‘s smooth, sampled boardwork. After offering a rough release date for Sleepers 2 (“Never”), Pooh addresses the question that’s been on fans’ minds ever since he parted ways with Phonte and 9th: “People keep asking me when LB comin’ back. / I say ‘We not,’ and this is fact / Why you clingin’ to the past? / I been moved on, blazing another path.” While hardcore fans may find that revelation a bit of a downer, the high-quality bars on display can only bode well for Fat Boy Fresh Vol. 3: Happy Birthday Thomas, which will hit The DJBooth for free streaming and premium purchase in conjunction with its August 6, retail release.
