RaSun ft. Vital - That Girl

Posted 7 years ago
Producer:
Don Juan C
Album:
Alone Again

Those who follow RaSun know that the San Francisco up-and-comer’s a little girl-crazy—whether he’s head-over-heels for a female he thinks just might be the one or simply eying all the fine ladies at his favorite nightspot, romance is always priority numero uno.  Ra’s latest single (making its world premiere here in the Booth) finds him going crazy over yet another enchanting shorty.  Or is it the same one from his Booth debut?  In any case, That Girl has quite a hold on him.  Though the subject matter is as old as time itself, RaSun’s Caribbean-flavored vocals are as mellow and crowd-pleasingly catchy as ever.  Don Juan C once again shows his skills as a wingman, delivering a dreamy mix of bells, echoey guitar licks, and, of course, plenty of windchimes.  The final ingredient needed to achieve slow-jam perfection comes courtesy of singer Vital, who tops the track off with a swoon-worthy R&B hook.  With his knack for crafting earnest, lovelorn jams, it’s hard to imagine RaSun ending up Alone Again; for the story behind that ominous title, as well as plenty more catchy cuts, grab a copy of his debut LP when it drops this fall.
