Raven Sorvino ft. Chuck Dizzle, Smokey Lane & El Prez - Homegrown

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Woody
Album:
Playa Del Rey

NY has Nicki Minaj and Miami has Trina, so why can’t California have their resident female spitter in the mainstream mix as well? We think that they can, and she goes by the name of Raven Sorvino. Once again proving the Hip-Hop critics wrong about the sudden decline of talented female MCs in the game, Sorvino drops the first single from her upcoming album, Playa Del Rey, titled Homegrown, featuring Booth-fave El Prez and Smokey Lane. In classic west coast fashion the funky bass line and grooving drums in the track, produced by Woody, mesh perfectly with Raven’s and Prez’s boastful rhymes about living the Cali way and loving it.  Lane handles the hook on this melodic car cruiser, forcing you to immediately envision beautiful weather, fully packed beaches, and nothing but good times in the Sunshine State. Be sure to keep checking The DJBooth for a firm release date on Playa Del Rey.
