Raven Sorvino - Pam Grier

Posted about 2 years ago
Producer:
Iman Omari
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Pam Grier has been getting a lot of love in the Booth over the last few months. Back in June, we heard Detroit mainstay Scolla pay tribute to her most famous role on Foxy Brown, and now Cali rhymesayer Raven Sorvino has stepped into the Booth with her own musical tribute to the Blaxploitation icon. Described as “a smooth ode to [the artist’s] pimpin’ past,” this cut sees the Language Arts signee waxing playeristic over the whip-ready percussion and tuneful flute/harp samples of Iman Omari. An uncredited male vocalist lends a hand on the record’s chorus. While this joint isn’t part of a larger set, fans can hear more from Sorvino on her latest EP, Queen of Heartz, out now on iTunes.
