Red Cafe ft. Rick Ross & Ryan Leslie - Fly Together

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Ryan Leslie
Album:
TBD

Originally scheduled for release back in 2008, Red Cafe‘s Bad Boy debut has suffered the kind of delays that would convince a less dedicated emcee to start taking night classes in accounting. On the positive tip, the Brooklyn representer’s love life seems to be going fantastically—as he reveals on new single Fly Together, he and his girl are so well-matched that, together, they can surmount any obstacle. On this smooth selection, Ryan Leslie handles production duties, pairing a stuttering breakbeat with a laid-back bassline and simmering synth overtones as the street mainstay pays tribute to his boo, rhapsodizing about her fashion sense (“Your shoe game ruthless girl, goddamn”), her down-for-anything attitude, and the trusting nature of their relationship (“Here go my credit card, my debit too…”). Ricky Rozay guests on the middle, lacing verse two with his own lovestruck (yet braggadocious) rhymes. Complete with R-Les’ characteristically smooth hook vocals, this catchy selection is likely to have Red Cafe fans changing their addresses to “Cloud Nine.” Or have I got it twisted? Debate away—and keep it locked for all the latest on Cafe’s long-awaited, untitled/unscheduled album.
