REKS ft. Bishop Lamont - Trust Us

Numonics
Album:

When politicians, teachers, pastors, the police, the media, and other authority figures are out to distract the public from uncomfortable truths, is there anyone you can count on to keep it one-hundred? Well, REKS may not always be on-point when it comes to album release dates—originally scheduled to drop tomorrow, his latest project has been pushed to next month—but when it comes to the pressing issues of our day, he doesn’t pull any punches. On new single Trust Us, the Boston underground mainstay and West Coast-repping guest Bishop Lamont lace a gritty Numonics instrumental with the straight dope on institutional racism, prison privatization and other topics the powers that be would prefer to see swept under the rug. This incisive cut is just one of many bangers to be found on REKS’ Revolution Cocktail LP, now scheduled for release February 26.
