Rich Kid Sound System - I Want It All

Posted 4 years ago

When you’re as young, talented and, well, rich as Rich Kid Sound System, the world is your oyster—and you’d better believe that the South Florida five-piece are going to slurp that bivalve mollusc down with a side of lemon juice. On the latest single off their debut street album (retitled from “Death of a Frat Rapper” to the marginally more upbeat “No Cheers for Pioneers”), Q, Leo, Freezy and Shawn make the scope of their ambitions clear, announcing to the rest of the game, “I Want It All.” W0LFC0AT handles production duties, crafting a bouncy, indie-pop infused instrumental backdrop that wouldn’t sound out of place in an AudioDax single. Emcee Q matches his collaborator’s ebullient grooves with effortlessly fresh motivational rhymes (“It all comes to how far you gon’ go to get yours / I set forth jet force when I set course for greatness.”), and the group ties the package together with an irresistably catchy hook and bridge. Feel like helping RKSS buy that fancy crib and hire that butler (and that butler for their butler)? Then keep it locked—the crew plan on releasing a track a week off their freshman set for (at least) the next five weeks.
