Michael Jackson Tribute

Though the tragic passing of Michael Jackson has spurred fans everywhere to revisit the musical legend’s iconic contributions to popular culture, I think it’s still safe to assume that “Hey baby, wanna spend the night at my Neverland Ranch?” won’t be appearing on any “Top Ten Pickup Lines” lists anytime soon.  Unless the list is titled “The Top Ten Weird Pickup Lines Most Likely to Get You Slapped.”  Of course, if your name is Rick Ross, you just might be a big enough boss to make something happen.  On this new, unreleased cut, the Maybach Music head honcho teams up with former R&B mainstay Sleepy Brown to take the ladies to a land where dreams come true—of course, the dreams Ross is talking about are strictly of the grown-and-sexy variety.  Big D, producer of Deeper Than Rap cut Murda Miami, backs the collaborators (respectively) rapped and sung fantasies with a ritzy, funk-soul beat as smooth as anything on the rapper’s third studio album.  It’s clearly not meant as a serious “tribute record,” but this track is sure to put smiles on the faces of listeners looking for an MJ-inspired joint with a lighter feel.
